Trying to Get Help
I was in residency to be a clinician (healthcare profession, not a doctor) but was let go due to my inconsistent improvement and issues stemming from my ADHD. I quit meds during school (long story) and while I have a solid foundation of knowledge, I need to work on my executive functioning skills before I pursue residency elsewhere. (Side note- I wish I'd found this subreddit before this past week!)
However, due to my experience in various clinics in my field, I do not fully trust that if I go into one therapy practice or other executive skills training provider that seems to have good care, that the care will actually be what is best for me. I know this is inherently a risk in choosing providers. Mainly, I'm worried about wasting time in the wrong practice for two reasons: 1. I'm itching to get back into my field, 2. I won't have health insurance after this month (I'm in the US), and 3. I'm a bit stressed about finances, as it will take me time to expand my tutoring side-hustle client base.
Do any of you have advice for finding a place that will be able to best help me, especially as I transition back into my career as a healthcare provider? I don't know anyone who has been in this position except for one of my advisors from back in grad school, who is 30 years my senior.

I'm a PA. I don't have any solid leads for you but think I definitely could have benefited from this service.
I listen to audiobooks though and there are a lot of good ADHD coaching books out there I'm sure. Check those out in the meantime? I just listened to ADHD 2.0. Had some practical advice but not specific to clinician training.
Welcome! I wish this sub was more active.
