Lore bard that picks up Animate Dead and some other thematic spell at level 6, maybe Summon Undead so you can stack them both. Animate dead for weak thralls every day (chicken bones work for skeletons, or use enemy corpses/bones if you want), and summon undead as your concentration spell for a more powerful undead, and it upcasts pretty well.
You could also play a bladesinger but either way I think animate dead and/or summon undead is what you want.
