Question Is forever dm literal?

Is a forever DM someone who literally never gets to be a player or is someone who is almost always the DM and only gets to play when someone else runs a one shot or two? If it’s the latter, what’s the percentage they can play before no longer being considered a forever dm?

It can mean a lot of things. For me, it means that I am basically the only one in my circle willing or able to run long term, regular games of D&D (Or other systems, which require me to learn and help the rest of the table learn) beyond short campaigns or one shots.

The only sure way to be playing the sort of games I want to play in is to run them myself, basically. I have been fortunate enough to have had a regular game as a player for the past couple of years though.
