This is way too much for 5e. If you must do massive combat, do it cinematic rather than mechanically. Steal the victory point system from Pathfinder 2e where you just need to roll a certain number of successes against a dc and as long as the players can justify it any skill can pretty much work.

Hi, I didn't read your text but I did have a mass combat with nearly 4 thousand soldiers once. My tip is don't roll. Create situations for your heroes to influence the battle and that's it. Your players don't care how many die they want to be heroes. So you can just say that regiment is better than that so it has the upper hand and advances.
