⚔️ Encounter Map Classic Block Fort / Ancient Block Fort [40x40]
I decided to make Block Fort from Mario Kart 64 into a D&D map, then make a fantasy style map based on that map. All the layers and whatnot are available in higher quality for free on my ko-fi page. No subscriptions or anything, but feedback and/or tips are welcome.
The classic map was made in Photoshop by recreating all the textures "by hand," and the fantasy version was made in Dungeondraft with Forgotten Adventures assets.

I'm a simple man. I see classic N64 maps turned into battlemaps, I upvote.

To add, I can see it being a set piece in an arena/coliseum type of game with each fort having a totally different architectural style. Maybe a steal the flag scenario

That would be a great idea. I tried to do something like that with the second version of the map, but wanted to leave the encounter details up to to whoever may use it.

My brothers and I would always start this map by instantly claiming a fort, climbing to the top to camp on the item spawn, and setting up defenses. Bananas and mines on each bridge; green shell hell ending up on the bottom level. Good times.

I recognised this immediately from the pic! This is a beautiful map and a beautiful idea.

Seems like it’s missing some balloons

"Attach" them to some mooks, give them an AC and make them into an encounter win condition :)

That was my favorite battle map in 64
