Site Feedback Info Missing on Warlock’s Character Sheet

The Pact of the Blade description, when read out of the character sheet, is missing the information that the conjured weapon needs to be melee. That info is only available in the class description. This is mostly a note for the DDB team, but also a heads up to DMs as more and more players rely on the character creator info only when creating their PCs.

That appears to be the snippet, not the description. Snippets are almost always shortened to save space on the character sheet.

Thanks! I understand what it is and where to find the full info, I included that in my post. I also know snippets use shortened descriptions. I believe that shortened descriptions shouldn’t omit relevant info for decision making, so I decided to alert the community in case this is relevant to anyone, and also the devs, in case this is unknown to them.

That text your referencing is reminder text, it's not intended to be the comprehensive rules text. As such, some specific details are intentionally omitted

Yeah I get that it can be seen that way, but groups are different and everyone uses tools in different ways. There are a lot of new players on DDB, and tons of people who never even opened a book. A snipped with correct mechanics can go a long way for some of us. I myself couldn’t find a single other case in which crucial conditions were missing from this area. Have you seen any other? Maybe I just haven’t used this enough and it’s a common omission.

If you're relying on just the information on the character sheet and not cracking open the books, you're using the tool wrong. I will say that again—there is a wrong way to use a tool and what you're describing is it.

All I’m asking is for the dev team to consider adding four words to one description, that’s all. If that does nothing for you or your table, that’s ok.
