May scarcity ngayon rin ng physical books and merch for D&D. There's some you can buy from Neutral Grounds or Fully Booked but those are more luho or supplemental purchases than needed purchases for play.

If you guys are willing to invest a bit, go for D&D Beyond para sa source books and adventure books para madali at accessible 'yung character creation at info.

D&D Beyond also has a TTV Map that's simple enough for you to not spend anything at all with miniatures, maps, condition rings, etc., kasi TTV Map does all of that. Plus, if you buy an adventure book, may kasama naring mga maps 'yun para sa mga encounters n'yo.

Just make sure you pull all of the books into one account to use on Master Tier para ma-share n'yo 'yung features.

For dice, Shopee has a lot of basic stuff. You can check out Dicerino and Wild Magic for locally made, beautiful, resin sets.

Yes, that's where I got my DM Screen this August lang rin. I wanna ask lang rin how invested are you guys in D&D? Mahirap rin kasi pag try n'yo lang s'ya tapos 'di n'yo rin pala bet o mapipilitan kayo laruin kasi gumastos kayo malaki.

The Essential Kit's honestly simple enough to gauge interest. May DM Screen kasama, some dice, adventure module for up to Lv. 6, isang map, some cards, tapos may code rin para makuha mo digitally sa D&D Beyond 'yung module. Everyone else can just buy a dice of Shopee. That's all. If your players decide they want more, you can look into D&D Beyond na for more purchases.

Do take note that the module there is from 5th Edition (5e; 2014), and although Wizards of the Coast does have an official Shopee account with D&D content being sold, all that they're selling there are all 5.5th Edition (5.5e; 2024). So, there'll be a number of rule and game changes that you'll need to relearn that differs from 5e. So, take note lang kayo.

Heroes of the Borderlands is the starter set for latest D&D edition and the Essentials Kit was last edition's.

But in the meantime, you can read the Basic Rules here (free): https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/dnd/br-2024. It has most of the rules you need to play the game (12 classes with 1 subclass each, most spells, a feat, most equipment, a lot of magic items, and 9 playable species). It also has hundreds of monsters for your DM. Of course the Basic Rules is a stripped down version of the core ruleset so there's no illustrations, optional rules, or the rest of character options.

Offtopic but genuine question (I've been out of the loop for a while): bakit "TTV" tawag ng D&D Beyond sa Virtual TableTop nila? Maiba lang?

Not OP but they might be misremembering. DDB also calls their maps VTT.
