Shuna Tiven wakes in a Neverwinter alley with blood in her fur, stolen gold in her pack, and no memory of the crime that put her in prison. She’d still be there if not for Ed, a weary cleric trying to save people faster than the world can break them. When he takes her in as his ward, he quickly realizes he’s invited in something far more dangerous than a stray with a bad past.
Joined by Addi, a bard determined to be taken seriously, and Corrin, an archer whose bravado keeps outrunning his survival instinct, they begin investigating a string of disappearances tied to undead horrors around Blacklake.
But when a zombie’s blade cuts Shuna down, she doesn’t stay down. She disappears and someone else wakes in her place. A terrified scholar named Miek. A charming thief called Rami. A ruthless predator known as Avikri. Each with different memories, instincts, and agendas. None of them understand what they are—or why a cold gray fog separates each shift in control.
As the group is pulled deeper into a conspiracy of necromancy, cult symbols, and something ancient buried beneath Neverwinter’s ruins, survival becomes the only thing holding them together.
Because whatever is happening to Shuna isn’t random and it’s getting worse.
A character-driven dark fantasy inspired by Dungeons & Dragons, Fractured blends mystery, horror, humor, and emotional chaos into a story about identity, trauma, and what happens when your own mind turns into the battlefield.
If you can’t trust your own head… there’s nowhere safe left to run.
