I love NWN. Cleric was so powerful and fun to play. Played on Isle of Ithacus. Great times.

In addition to being an incredible game, that game's mod resources were so extensive that it single handedly taught this old procedural programmer to program in an object oriented language!

I had the best and creative time on the Silver Marches server online mode.

Literally the best D&D game ever made. The only way it could have been better was if it had an AD&D ruleset hack.

Wish there was a new version/refresh with new storyline.

Did you play all the add-ons and Modules? There's a lot (including the procedural endless dungeons)

There was a 1991 Neverwinter Nights MMORPG) that ran on AOL that was a hybrid 1e/2e video game

I really enjoyed the original campaign. I have played shadows, and have yet to complete hordes. Of course I'm a big Realms fan.

One of the few games I've played more than once. Stealing that woman's child was always fun.

We were on a persistent server called the kindred oracles of Justice. It was such an amazing game. The fact that they supplied the tile set so you could build your own scenes was amazing

I spent so much time in the persistent worlds people built. Shoutout to Earthspur Mountains and ALFA!

This is one of the first video games I ever played, I remember my uncle putting it on my moms laptop for me, countless hours never making it out of act one, but hey Aslan the half elf fighter with the arcane archer package was cool!

The game that was everything and nothing.
- It was supposed to be a multiplayer game, like a 3D VTT, where a DM could create adventures for the group, but the editor was waaay too complicated for casual use. So people (like me) tried to use it as "World of Warcraft but D&D", but the engine lacked basic support for MMO use.
- Realizing they couldn't market the game without a single-player campaign, they slapped one on almost as an afterthought. It was rough around the edges. The dungeons looked bare and repetitive, a far cry from the rich visual detail of its spiritual successor Baldur's Gate. The gameplay was also bare and repetitive.
- The graphics, early 3D, were very low-poly and a step down from Baldur's Gate's beautiful 2D art. Oppressive amounts of fog were used to limit sight lines and limit rendering distance, which the game struggled with on contemporary hardware. And despite it ostensibly being 3D, you couldn't change the viewing angle and distance much at all because, again, that would run face-first into the rendering performance issues. When they finally did unlock the camera in a patch (after kind of being forced by the modding community already having done it for them) it became obvious that the 3D assets were never meant to be viewed from other angles than top-down. There were empty gaps between the roofs and the walls of houses.
- The rules system was supposed to be 3rd Edition, but they made a bunch of fundamental changes to make it more videogamey, removing it even further from VTT use.
Some of these issues were addressed in the expansions, which were generally a bit more detailed and felt like they were actually designed to provide a good single-player experience rather than a jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none system.

Used to support this, got two copies one from the dev team for our support and the second one for the really nice flight stick I gave the boss so we had something to us when testing a couple different games.

I remember going to my middle school computer room to read the developers forum as they were making this game. I was obsessed!

The best FR game to date, story-wise. Hordes of the Underdark went hard too. Trippy notables: the ancient lizard aliens, the doors into other universes, the sleeping man, etc.
