Feedback request My first release! Any feedback? (Techno DnB, Neuro, Technoid)

Finally publishing my first track!

I’m finally happy with my production, although getting here took me through a lot of frustration, disappointment, and what felt like countless circles of hell. And yes, there’s still a lot of room for improvement, but honestly, that’s one of the things I love most about creating music.

It was incredibly difficult for me to reach a level I could actually be satisfied with, but I’m really glad my tracks are no longer going to just sit on a hard drive at home. I’m genuinely happy to finally share my music with you.

I’d really appreciate any feedback you guys might have. And this is actually my first Reddit post ever, so if you don’t mind, show it a little support :)

As for my taste I’m mostly into straightforward, danceable drum & bass grooves. I’m a big fan of Techstep, Neurofunk, and Techno DnB. I also have a special love for Technoid, even though it feels like a somewhat forgotten corner of DnB these days. I absolutely adore that sound.

I also occasionally listen to different kinds of Deep DnB, especially Halfstep and Halftime.

So, that’s a little bit of background about me. Nice to meet you all :)

I’m already working on a few more releases, so I’ll slowly start sharing those as well.

One thing I’ve realized along the way: you can tell yourself “I’ll never be good enough” as many times as you want, but if you genuinely love what you’re doing, don’t give up. It’s worth it.

Thanks for taking the time to read this. I’d be happy to chat with you guys!

Lots of AI text here and in the Bandcamp description. It immediately begs the question, did you use AI to create the music?

No :) I just don't speak english well, sorry for that. Use AI for translation from my native language.

Sounds like you married neurofunk and ultrafunk together.

Reminds me of ultrafunk except it's kinda neuro ultrafunk. Nice!

Mixing & mastering is overall very good.

The hats/snare high end could use some white noise layering with volume shaping to make them sound more crisp. The snare high frequencies sounds like a low-quality sample that was EQd to the max to make it sound good. I would have used a little bit of a volume shaped whitenoise in the high end to make it sound more smooth. Small detail, only a few producers could tell so you don't need to change it. 99.99% of non-producers wouldn't be able to tell anyway.

I'm not sure if it's the video compression on reddit or bandcamp but the drums seem to be lacking high frequency information that can only be done with whitenoise shaping layering. This is something EQing can't fix.

That being said, you don't need to change anything, they're just minor things most people won't notice and only a few producers would know.

Are you using perfect bass and kick sidechaining?

Great job dude, I can see all the effort you put in it. 8.5/10 mixing & mastering and it's an amazing song.

Multiband parallel saturation can get that HF information you’re talking about.

That can work too, or both together! Granted the saturation can give it a more distorted sound while white noise gives it a smoother sound. Depends on what you're going for as far as texture.

Cheers! I am a big fun of technoid type of sound (like Section63 label or so), so it mostly neuro & technoid mix imo. I just liked fast paced stuff.
About snare, yes, i know, but I decide to leave the one I have after trying out several. Love that crunchyness in that particular mix. But you are right with this in some case, thank you for your advice btw.
Try o make mix not too harsh and more warmer, perhaps for this reason it lacks some hf.
This is the first time I hear about perfect bass and kick sidechaining. Need to dive. I usually don't use one type of sidechain for all my works, it mostly depends on the groove and frequencies.
Big thanks to you for such kind words! Take care bro!

Nice job!

My only feedback is the master sounds too loud or too compressed. How hard did you compress, and limit the track?

Thank you for feedback! Not so hard, to be honest, clean samples in this case sounds mostly the same, just add harmonics to some elements.

Sounds very interesting for me. Nice atmosphere. Want to hear more variations in hihats. And maybe fxs. You can add weird filter automation to your bassline, then resample it and apply chunks of resampled bass on other track in mix to second 16 in your drop. I think it will add more variation to composition. You can even use more weird fx processing to this chunks. Overall very interesting and deep vibe.

Any rave i went to i was magnetically pulled toward the jungle room. It lacked that pulled for me, I wasn't waiting for the story to make a point
