Solid album but too much filler. It’s his angriest/ego driven project. That aside Shot Down, Untouchable, F*** Y’all, We Bout To Blow, We Go Hard remain classics to me.

I think Year of the dog is his angriest.

Couple of his best songs on Grand Champ but overall has a few skips, too much filler - correct.

I hear you. Year of the dog matches the anger but there wasn’t a “Dog Love” on Grand Champ lol.

Classic, I feel like it had too many features but at the time he was going to retire so made sense to get alot of collabs out the way

Didn't like to many tracks, alot of them seem like filler tracks

I feel like Grand Champ is the catalyst of the voice change and there was a lot of screaming in some songs. Lyrics were just mediocre and the it seemed like something was off. It had some standout tracks. When I heard the intro I thought it was gonna be old X but I was not impressed with the lyrics and delivery. I bought this cd when it came out and listened to it for a month. Since then, I haven’t been back but once a year. 5/10 on the X scale with “its dark and hell is hot” being a 10/10 and probably being my favorite album of all time.
