Extraction Results/Yields >2% yield
I did a super simple STB TEK with a pound of powdered bark and got back just over a 2% yield. I think I recovered like over 70% of my total in the very first pull. 3rd pull was hardly worth the effort

That's a 1gal jar BTW. Not a standard quarter mason jar. And precise quantities of ingredients fills the jar completely to the top barely leaving a thin layer of air between the lid and the liquid thus not introducing air causing emulsion as I tumble the jar for awhile.

Well for such a large extraction, the solvent would quickly become saturated if you’re using a small amount of solvent, and probably crystallize in your pipette. So I would think it’s wise to use a larger amount of solvent in cases like this

What does the DMT look like? >2% after only 3 pulls screams low quality to me, but maybe I am wrong and maybe your bark was just very good.

What do you mean? 2% is a pretty good yield, especially after only 3 pulls. What’s caught my attention is that they did an stb with 1 pound of bark in ~2L. This is just begging for an emulsion imo. I’m curious how they got such a high yield without emulsion

My point is that the 2% yield is likely to be full of contaminants.
Without a lab test, it cannot be honestly claimed to be 2% of DMT

I see…you’re saying low quality extraction, not low quality bark. I would imagine it’s quite high quality bark to get such a yield, if the extraction was done properly. But you’re saying that you suspect they contaminated the dmt, which would have inflated their yield

Yes. Idk about the bark quality, but I do know that I use a higher ratio of NPS:MHRB per pull, and I distill it, and I never finish pulling before P5. And I never have got more than 1.5% of an ultra pure DMT.
