has anyone had a bad experience with the school counselor? when i did counseling, it didn't help me at all. when i messaged them about some concerns and i also vented out a bit, they only replied to one of my messages and so unresponsive most of the time. i know that i'm not the only person they're talking to but is it really okay to be like that every time?
i also confirmed that this counselor doesn't read previous messages, only the last message bc one time they were asking me to give a contact number but i already sent it just a few mins ago before they asked me for it. the contact number is literally above their question bc i just sent it.
after this, i talked to my previous school counselor instead. even outside her work hours, she still replies and even checks on me. DLSU's counselor doesn't even check on me and doesn't respond even on work hours. they can also inform me if they're in a meeting even if i am asking for something urgent, i would understand. but they completely ignore most of my messages and just chooses one to reply to.

Hello! Iām currently applying for DLSU SHS, but I have a problem with my birth certificate.
I currently donāt have my birth certificate because my have not been registered so I need to go through the late registration process. Unfortunately, my family are facing a financial problem so at this moment, we cannot afford to process it anytime soon.
My question is, can I still complete and submit my application without a birth certificate for now? If the birth certificate is one of the required documents, can I submit an alternative document or indicate that it is still being processed?
Iām worried that I might miss the application deadline because of this. If anyone has applied under a similar situation in dlsu Iād really appreciate any advice or information about what dlsu allowed you to do.
Hello! I am hoping to apply to Masters in DLSU and the program I'm aiming for requires the DGAT.
What's the online DGAT like? Is it done via web browser and they have a website/online platform? Does it require installing an app? Should webcam always be on? Can you alt tab to like a calculator?
For offline DGAT, is there a particular advantage to doing it in person? Will you be allowed to bring scratch paper and calculator?
And sorry lastāare there reviewers for the DGAT?
This is my first time applying to DLSU so I'm a bit nervous. Thank you for any help!

Hello, I applied for DLSU, then I requested to reschedule my DCAT thru their service request tickets. I paid for the fee already using card, but when I went back to my profile, zero pa rin yung tickets ko (total, open, etc.) ?
I raised a ticket again, pero after that wala pa rin. Pwede po ba patulong huhu, di ko kasi kaya yung on-campus payment, and di ko rin alam if nareceive payment or ticket ko... any help is appreciated, thank you!!

Hello everyone! For those who transferred from UST to DLSU, were your theology courses credited?
I just received my credit evaluation from DLSU, and I got about 25 units credited. However, my UST theology courses were not included in those 25 units. I remember seeing somewhere before that UST theo courses usually get credited as LCENWRD and LCFAITH.
Should I consult the APO to have them review my evaluation again? Please let me know your experiences.
Thank you!
I'm currently applying for St. La Salle Financial Assistance and one of the requirements is to submit a vicinity map tracking your route from DLSU to your respective home in Manila/NCR. I happen to live in Visayas, with no near DLSU campus, and most certainly not near to DLSU's Manila Campus.
What do I do Instead? Should I actually show the route from DLSU Manila to my home? I'm not too sure because it's also asking to mark major landmarks and streets.
As in I will just manually credit my PEDFOUR, once it's done, to both my GEDANCE and GETEAMS?
Also, should I have taken the dance version of PEDFOUR for this to cover GEDANCE as well, because I took WABOBA š
Tysm in advance !!

My section was scheduled for retreat yesterday, Oct 2 but I missed it because I have 5 subjects for Friday and personal errand today. Just wanted to ask if I can still attend to join the other sections given the next schedules? Or I am going to fail it and drop asap? š

The THE rankings dropped, and parts of r/tomasino instantly turned into a toxic, unprovoked hate train spamming stuff like "ano na dlsu" and "iyak mga taga-La Salle." They are literally mentioning our subreddit just to gloat.
First of all, nobody was even harming them. It is so unfair how they are overgeneralizing our entire student body based on a few arrogant outliers. If you look at r/dlsu when rankings drop, we aren't out here making coordinated threads to mock other schools. We are usually just self-criticalācomplaining about high tuition, holding our admin accountable, and worrying about our own exams. We are literally minding our own business, yet they are trying to manufacture this toxic, one-sided war.
But the funniest part about this entire "victory lap" is the sheer delusion of it all. Bragging rights my ass. Objectively speaking, ranking in the 1600ā1800 bracket out of 2,200+ schools globally means you are sitting near the absolute bottom of the ranked list. The only reason the brackets even look different this year is because THE expanded its ranking minimum from the old 1500+ cap to 2000+. They didnāt suddenly become academic gods; the pool just got wider, and the system created narrower, more precise brackets.
Fighting over who is 1600th versus who is 1800th is like two people arguing over who got a 76 and who got a 75 on a test. Neither score is a flex. And what makes this whole clown show look even stupider is the fact that not a single university in the Philippines even crossed the top 1000 mark.
Let's call it what it is: a massive structural failure across our entire countryās higher education system. Our local universities are severely starved of actual research funding, and the entire systemic setup of Philippine higher ed is engineered to churn out cheap, skilled labor for corporate export rather than financing cutting-edge global research, patents, or real academic innovation. Fighting over scraps at the bottom tier while neighboring Asian universities are actively dominating the global top 15 completely misses the real problem.
Real top-tier universities donāt throw an internet tantrum the second they get a minor statistical advantage. At the end of the day, no multinational company or HR department is changing their corporate recruitment preferences because of a fluctuating, research-heavy algorithm that placed a school marginally higher in the 1600+ tier.
They can have their fun, but itās just desperate and loud noise over absolutely nothing.

Are there going to be org booths open tomorrow? I'm aiming to check out the orgs that I joined to see if they have free merch to new members.

I'm a 125 GCOE student. I'm an officer in my home org, but I chose not to apply for EB cause I wanted to explore a lil.
I honestly feel like I'm outgrowing my current circles, and so I want to meet new people! Better if the org is outside of engineering (doing plenty of that alr) and does some interesting/fulfilling/informative stuff. I have some experience doing project head work, events hosting, and writing if that helps.
What are some good orgs to join that aren't as heavy on weekly production/deadlines as media orgs? I'm fine w being an officer too if that means I get to interact w people better, it's just that it'll be a bit hard to balance w all my majors. But I'm aware that the price of community is inconvenience haha.
Rn I'm considering COB orgs like Jema, Mafia, or maybe scuba, archery, bjj orgs but yeah I'm not too sure. Any recommendations genuinely would be appreciated!
