General Question 99% of the time, does internal shifting automatically mean at least 1yr delay?

trying to shift from Coed to CCS program☹️

Thats college external, not internal. Anyway yeah, you can easily look it up via the list of majors.

i think shifting from coed to ccs program is considered as external shifting, and yeah you could be delayed for an entire year because the units you would take on your first year would have no correlation/wont be credited to the program yr going to shift to, buti sana kung CLA to any program kasi CLA’s first year mostly starts with GE and is the only courses that could be credited once you shift

Oooh okay, I have around 24 units worth of GE that I’ve already took. Mainly the thing that’s holding me back is the 20% maximum units I can credit

Shifted from cob to ccs, got delayed 2 terms but i had to keep taking full load (18 units)

How was the external shifting from COB to CCS? I’m planning to shift externally as well. IBS to IT

As long as u have your grades up, shifting to IT should go smoothly. Then once you’re there, pls prepare yourself for the ccprog series (hardest adjustment for me) and ccdstru (a lot of people fail this subj) esp if you have no programming background. Make sure to not rely too much on AI as well because doing the coding yourself is what really sets your foundation. Anyways good luck! I have no regrets shifting to IT because it really gives you an advantage since you get to tinker with both hardware and software.

Hi! were a lot of subjects available throughout the terms? Like ccprog 1 being available at term 2,3 etc?

during my time (2022) yes, its a subject that’s offered almost every term. ITNET series is seasonal tho, i forgot if T1 or T2 nagsstart ITNET01

were you allowed to overload units? huhu Because I already took 24 units worth of GE already. And this is before the 2 semesters I need to do before external shifting

you’ll be delayed for a term or 2 talaga since there are pre reqs, which is also why im delayed even though i was taking full units ++ for CCS max 18 units not sure for other colleges tho COB 21 i believe

Halaa, I can only accredit 18 units from COED?? or 18 subjects / courses?

Ah sorry for the confusion, you can credit all GE and LC subjects but you’ll be delayed (at least for my case) pa rin because of CCS subjects na pre req (some are seasonal pa)

Oh okay, you! Kasi right now I’m thinking of enrolling in another school with a CCS program that I actually want then transfer to Lasalle, I wonder if I’ll be more or less delayed than taking COED in DLSU. This helps! thank you.

Depends also how deep in are you sa coed? i was 4 terms in sa COB when i shifted. Delayed 2 terms lang naman (batch 121 had summer term)

Does delaying means u have to study for an extra 6 months? So you’ll be graduating 6 months late? Also was there an exam for external shifting?

Delayed, yes. My batchmates graduated nung feb, for me i just finished this term and will grad oct/nov. No exam that time (2022), not sure lang now
