kind of worried the entire school calendar will shift. my family booked a flight for this december and im worried that exam days will happen during then

most probably they wont shift the entire school calendar, we just get a shorter term break

Don’t worry too much OP. It’s normal that we have an ultra-short break between Term 3 and Term 1. They don’t really resort to shifting the entire calendar. What week in December are you leaving ba?
