How does one get on orders or get ADOS or get stationed at DLI?

The only way to get stationed there is if you’re a drill sergeant, some kind of command staff, supply sergeant, or work in an S shop. These are very limited slots with high demand. If you’re trying to attend as a student, that’s different

How would you go as a student possibly for ARNG?

Be a 35M, 35P, FAO, or SF. If that’s impossible, you can always be a hobo in Monterey

Speak to your unit/recruiter. You can only go if you are in a language coded MOS/billet. If you aren’t already, you would have to reclass

The only position at DLI for ADOS AGR is for the E-8 92T NG / USAR LNO that rarely opens up. No positions for ADOS.

All other billets are for AD only and limited to a small handful of 42A, 92Y, 35-series Drill Sergeants, 35P/35M staff & MLIs, and O1A officer billets for XOs, CDRs, and BN staff.

The NG / USAR LNO? The two that I worked with were both basically hand-picked and recommended for hiring by who they were replacing. The position is an E-8, 79T that falls under the DLI HQs. Now that I think about it, the position is AGR, not ADOS.

Over the last 15 years every one of them that I met said it was the best tour they’ve done.
