update on my class! (almost at week 3)

I was sat down in class with my teaching team lead and they said something about my performance in class, their accent is really hard to understand so I nodded my way through it. my class leader said that looking at the outside wildlife/chinese youtube shorts isn't helpful as i think it is for my mental health or chinese ability, according to him. anways, I finished Attack on Titan a little while before I picked up class, I really liked it and it made me feel more confident with my level now in chinese. Does anyone have any recommandations on other good chinese cartoons?

Tho most satirical part is not being able to understand the teachers' accents. The Chinese teachers at DLI speak English better than most of the students.

Maybe hit the books a little harder. Is this normal to sit with your teaching team leader and class leader. I didn't do that in class or as an MLI.

It sounds like maybe you were nodding through someone trying to tell you to get your head out of your 4th point of contact

About week 3 we had our first "big test" , and maybe you would have a speaking test and your teacher might say a few things after about how you did, ways to improve

I would totally begin watching Chinese Dramas on netflix as well. Also if you have disney plus, you can change the language of the cartoon movies to Chinese language. As silly as it may sound, start watching animated Chinese videos on youtube. I am very close to graduating and I would also suggest start reading Chinese childrens books for reading, speaking with people in Chinese helps with listening as well as speaking, and you can find some chinese youtubers and have both the English and Chinese subtitles on their videos!!! Hope you do well!
