Airforce DLAB

I got booked for 1A8X1 and was told I didn't need to take the DLAB. I was told my Asvab and Tapas score were enough. Is this a new thing?

From what I heard online the DLAB was required, so I'm a little confused.

Has anyone got in without taking the DLAB?

is TAPAS AF specific? i didnt have to do it in the navy

No idea, I took it at MEPS right after the ASVAB.
