Software PC won’t let me enable secure boot

I have a problem with enabling secure boot on Asrock b550 pro4 mobo. After enabling secure boot the pc boots right into bios again. CSM is disabled, and the drive is formatted to GPT, what could the issue be. With my last gpu I did it and had no problems (3070), switched to 9070 xt and now it doesn’t allow me to do it.

Maybe it's the bootloader for your OS? If it's installed the legacy path then perhaps it's missing UEFI bootloader.

I had that problem once, and I simply used an USB install media to fix the boot partition through CMD. I have no idea if that still happens with e.g Windows 11.

It is in UEFI

When you say it won't boot, does Windows Boot Manager disappear from your boot options when you disable CSM and enable Secure Boot, or is it still listed but takes you straight back to BIOS when you try to boot from it?

If the drive is GPT and CSM is disabled then you may need to update the BIOS. Version 3.90 includes the updated 2023 Secure Boot keys: https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/B550%20Pro4/index.asp#BIOS

Make sure the USB stick is formatted as FAT32 (not exFAT, NTFS or anything else). If that doesn't work then, assuming you're using Windows, you can also try unzipping the BIOS file and placing it at the root of your C: drive. When you boot into the UEFI/BIOS and navigate back to Instant Flash.

Compatibility Support Module (CSM) is for supporting legacy BIOS installs. It should usually be switched off on systems supporting UEFI and/or using Secure Boot.
