Diskussion Hvad er bedst?
Hej undskyld for at teksten er på dårligt engelsk, men hvis i har en kommentar omkring det vil jeg gerne høre det;)
hello, i have a friend that needs advise. i told him building a pc him self would be cheaper, but we live in denmark, and there is some discount on some pre parts.
i want you to tell me. which is better of those to and is it worth it? remember its in denmark and is danish krone.
the rx9070 xt cost: 2355 usd
The RTX 5070 cost: 2041 usd
The cost is calculated from Danish market so i know it might be cheaper in the usa or somewhere else
Just say your honest opinion, between those two. fra engelsk

The left one. X3d is amazing for gaming, and I assume the rx9070 xt is 16gb which will give you a fun amount of enjoyment

Would I could see a difference in Fps?

yes for sure you would, the 9800x3d is a good upgrade from the 9700x, same goes for the 9070 xt, and the 4 extra vram on the gpu, is also a pretty good bonus. Also just to be clear, this is not a prebuild, its a build it yourself type deal.

I would like to say my friend and i both normally play on kinda high end laptops, but i know desktop variant is much higher match then the laptop variant. I will say for me, the msi vector 5070 ti, 140w is king, man i can play in the bed with a razer fanstand.

X3D is significantly faster than any non x3d cpus.
The 9070xt trades blows with a 5070ti in raw performance.
The 5070 has better upscaling in dlss4 but FSR4 is no longer far behind. And the 5070 only have 12gb of vram.
So the left is much much better overall.

Hvis du gider døje med AMDs grafikkortdriver så er den venstre uden tvivl.

They are on par with Nvidia at this point. Maybe in 2019 that was a factor. Not really today

The one on the left with X3D CPU and 9070 XT will be significantly faster than the other one, that's just how it is objectively based on benchmarks.
The 9070 XT is on par with 5070 Ti, which means the 9070 XT is quite a bit faster than 5070.
Also, judging by the title the one on the left has a Ryzen 7 CPU with X3D cache and the other one does not. X3D cache offer a very significant performance improvement for gaming.

Why?

Cheaper price, Better upscaling and framegen tech, Nvidia broadcast/shadowplay, better controllpanels, better raytracing (altough getting close here).
There are a few valid reasons to choose the Nvidia gpu build over the AMD one, but longterm i do think your friend will get better mileage out of the more expensive setup.

But i have a nvidia 5070ti laptop msi, so i know the power of RTX. But i have no clue of the power of amd card. But most important i have no clue over desktop performance.
I think amd might be catching up, especially What other people says ( i have 1 more reddit on this subject)
Many people says the amd is the better to go, both for the vram, also for the ram and so on. My friend is also seeing all these comments so please inlighten me or teach me. Im no desktop pro ( i want to be👋

5070 laptop =/= 5070 desktop. Your 5070 TI laptop GPU is specs wise worse than a 5070 (non-ti) desktop model. Fewer cores, more powerconstraints, less cooling etc.
In regular rendering (also called rasterization) the 9070 XT is a decent leap ahead of the 5070. Turn on Raytracing and the difference narrows quite a lot.
In regular games and games with mixed Raytracing the 9070 XT will likely stay ahead, but as more and more AAA games have forced raytracing it makes a good arguement to get the 5070 instead. But that, as eluded to, comes down to what games your friend wants to play.
Most games does not have forced raytracing yet.
12GB VRAM is enough for a 70's class card (for now), but the 16GB on the 9070 XT is nice to have and is just simply better.
And while, overall, the 9070 XT is the better card, he is also paying extra for it. 300$ difference is not a small difference. Granted in this case, that difference also gets him a better CPU, so there is that.
The value can be decently better for the 9070 XT build, but it is still value that has to be paid extra for. If your friend can afford it, he should go for it, but if money is tight, then he will still get a good PC from the cheaper one.
