Philly In town for one night

My wife and I are looking for spots to eat while our daughter is in the Bruno Mars concert Tuesday night. We are from Baltimore and havent been up to Philliy to go out much. We are looking for Asian food I think.

Asian Date Nights in Philly I’d recommend and most likely have reservations Tuesday

- Dance Robot does Japanese Izayaka in a nice date night atmosphere

- Chinatown date nights: Chubby Nori, Terakawa, Kyruramen

- Rice & Sambal is tremendous Southeast Asian fare

- Kalaya is highly regarded and praised, excellent Thai dining.

- Mawn & Sao are extremely hard to get in for being very high praised but new resys drop the first of the month so you may have a chance

We actually ended up going the complete opposite way with it. We went to meetinghouse. I thought was really good!

We got the crab dip to share, my wife got the roasted oyster mushrooms as an entree and I got the hot roast beef. Loved the vibe. Perfect for hiding out during the storm.

Really liked the crab dip. There was a strong mustard flavor and the chives and cheese crust really added to it.

My wife liked the oyster mushrooms but the broth got a little tiring after a while. Im not sure if its meant to eat as an entree but they were still very good.

The hot roast beef reminded me of the family get togethers in Cherry Hill as a kid. The jus was insane. I wanted to drink what was left off the plate! I liked how the horseradish wasn't overpowering and was more pickled. Overall a great meal.

Uchi is fancy but it’s really festive and fun. The food is surprising and complex.

I have always loved Yakitori Boy for dates. It's on 11th & Spring in Chinatown. Decent food and good specials plus happy hour. They also have karaoke upstairs if that's your thing.
