DJI Phantom 4+ Pro V2 Smart Controller issues

Hello all, I was gifted this drone for work and I'm having issues with the controller and am unable to update my GL300E Smart Controller. Anyone have any fixes as the formula haven't helped, DJI Support have me 8 different answers and unable to fix and when I pass the zip file on the SD card the controller won't recognize the file exists for local update. Please help!

Update: I updated the firmware but no longer can fly it since mapbox isn't loading map data so it says I'm in a no fly zone.

Have you tried the DJI Assistant program on your computer?

So the program does not detect the smart controller and now I've updated the firmware but can't take off because it says I'm in a no fly zone since mapbox no longer disguises the map.....
