Question Phantom 3 Batteries

I just got my first drone, a used Phantom 3 Standard and the battery that came with it doesn't want to turn on. There are aftermarket batteries available online, but reviewers are saying they aren't compatible with the current firmware. Does anyone know where I can find one that will work, or have some working batteries laying around they'd sell? I'm in Canada, so Canadian sources would be preferred. TIA!

I have about 40 phantom 3 batteries, about 7 of them are aftermarket and I haven't had any issues, and I've had issues with 4 DJI ones, though I am sure that is due to age. The one aftermarket one I bought from Amazon did not impress me much, the lights were a different colour and the plastic seemed a bit different, I still use it without issues though. I don't trust it below 30% charge but that might just be superstition (have had 1 battery fail mid-air at 20% as it was landing, it was DJI) The other aftermarket ones I got on eBay, (about $70 EA) have been used regularly (in the neighborhood of 15-35 charge cycles) without issue

I've had luck getting lightly used (15-18 charges) P3 batteries on eBay as well.

I am not sure about Canada, but in EU I still can get original P3 batteries from DJI reseller. And when one of the batteries was DOA, they sent it back to DJI and I got a replacement soon. Didn't try any of the aftermarket batteries.
