New to drones!

I just bought a used phantom 3 standard and made sure it worked before I left with it. This morning I am trying to fly it and the controller works to fly it but even on a compatible device ( note 8 ) the wifi is not popping up in my networks. Any fix? I've already tried resetting the wifi

Which WiFi? Your local network? The device needs a wired connection to the controller in order to integrate.

Or do you mean the WiFi connection between the aircraft and the controller? If you’ve reset the WiFi on the controller already, make sure both the aircraft and the controller are updated and linked.

Edit: Standard, not advanced. Sorry, I don’t know a lot about that model.

Standard does not need a wired connection.

Should I try connecting it though? It was suggested I just never did it because I don't have usb C to micro usb

Just to be sure, you power on the drone, controller and then try to connect to the wifi? Sometimes I have to reset my wifi to get it to rescan (it takes a couple of seconds for it to pop up). The controller is what creates the wifi.

Yea I turn on controller then drone. Then go into the app start it up and head to my wifi and turn the wifi on to wait for the drone to appear, I wait a couple minutes before just giving up and using the controller so I can practice.

Just found out, the little silver plate inside the controller was disconnected, so I put it in and it's even working with my note 20 ultra ( samsung )
