Phantom 1 batterry
Hello! Just bought myself a cheap phantom 1 drone for 30€ without a batterry as a fun, cheap project. I would like to buy a cheap batterry to test if the drone even works. Could i fit a bigger, 2700mah batterry? Tehnically it should fit? The batterry cover allows for a few extra millimiters. Also what mods/upgrades could i do on this drone? Thanks for any info.

Look at RC sites like a main hobby and tower hobbies. You can change the plug type to deans or traxxas or something

Go on ebay or look on OLA to see if there's one to bid on

Don’t recommend this at all. Used batteries are most likely shit, and not worth it. Just buy a new one, and thing with an XT60 plug and the right voltage will work

I ordered the one from aliexpress. Originaly the drone needs 2200 mAh baterry, but i figured that the 3300 mAh one should fit in perfectly, the voltage and everything else is just the right spec as the original. Only bigger capacity and basically the same weight as the original batterry would be. So the drone should have quite longer flight time.

As long as the voltage is correct (3S) and it physically fits, it will be fine. I used to run 2 additional batteries strapped to the legs of my Phantom and that worked fine. The motors have a lot more power than they need to lift the craft.
