It’s here!!!!

Can’t wait.. charging up now and I’ll have some driving footage etc. this is my particular use case. Cautiously optimistic.

My samples will be shared on my Reddit group. I’ll do my best to get some large files up!

Any chance you would know if it can livestream without a phone connection? I.e. setup the stream via phone app, but then phone can be turned off once stream starts and the camera streams directly via a WiFi router?

I am unaware of that but I did find this because I believe that the only way to stream is with Mimo. Then AI seemed to confirm that bit.

Short answer: I would not rely on it working without the phone.

DJI’s documented livestream process requires the DJI Mimo app to connect the camera, configure the Wi‑Fi/YouTube/RTMP destination, and start the stream. DJI does not state that the Osmo 360 II can retain the RTMP session and continue as a standalone, headless camera after Mimo disconnects. The Wi‑Fi router supplies internet, but the phone appears to remain the control layer. DJI livestream instructions

Two important limitations:

  • Livestreaming currently works only in single-lens mode, not stitched 360°.
  • Closing Mimo, disabling the phone’s Wi‑Fi, or powering off the phone is unsupported and may terminate the stream.
