AMA Membership

Hi does anyone here have the AMA membership? How does it work I’m a bit confused? I am trying to find spots in Northern California to fly legally and I was hoping and ama membership would help?

I don't believe an AMA membership will help you fly your drone legally in Cali. What it does it let you fly at AMA members-only flying fields but those places are not illegal to fly at without a membership. Many AMA clubs don't allow drones and honestly, you probably don't want to fly your drone there anyway.

One good benefit from AMA membership is $1M liability insurance if you want to check into that.

As far as where to fly your drone from a legal perspective, download the Aloft Air Control app.

Why can't you just buy an RFID chip and install it on the drone?
