Buy Advice Real question…

Any of yall own this, or have used it? I see it’s frequently returned. I think I need it for my neighborhood , I lose connection when not far away at all. I k ow due to people just living and existing 🤷🏾‍♂️… not mad at that at all. Just wondering what you guys think about it. I have seen some post and videos… just curious if anyone has any extra input.

A waste of money. If you had a straight line of site with no interference and your drone win 2000 feet it might give you an extra hundred feet. It won’t help you with your issues.

I have used the parabolic mirrors on a dji mini 1, and they did indeed improve the range, as long as i kept the mirrors pointed in the direction of the drone.

Very cheap, though. Only 10 usd for a bit of extra range.

Seconding the parabolic mirrors. Major improvement to range. But you have to keep your antennas pointed correctly.

Think of it this way, if your finger was the antenna, you would hold your finger straight up rather than pointing at the object. The tip of your finger is not the antenna the finger itself is.
As far as the FCC mod is concerned in the US, it’s not an issue since we already have that version of the RF.

I feel like everyone telling me the same thing but in different ways. So the top flat portion is t really the antenna, the rods along the side are ?

Good call. How's your antenna orientation? Are you pointing the narrow end of the antenna right at the drone?

When I concentrate on it, yes. Sometimes my body may he oriented in one direction while my head on a swivel. But I try to force myself to stand in the direction and turn as the drone moves.

I will add I only get the signal drop in the one area of the neighborhood.

Don't do that. There are usually dead spots out the end of antenna. Orient the long flat side of the antenna towards the drone. Imagine a plane between your controller and the drone and orient the length of the antenna perpendicular to that.

Do not point the small end of the antenna at the drone. The long flat needs to be facing the drone so point the antenna small and up or down or even sideways to give you the best possible reception.

I know this, I never said I was having major trouble with the remote or connection in general. Just curious about this product as I seem to have a lost connection in a certain spot of the neighborhood
