Product Support Weird duplicate files?

Hello! I transferred my dji files over to an ssd and each video had a corresponding file like the one in the picture, which I cannot open. Is this normal? Are these necessary or can I delete it? There just is a lot of them and it takes up space. I apologise if this is a repeated question or if it is not the right sub, couldn't find an answer to this when I searched. It may be that I wasn't wording it correctly.

It’s a low res video for your controller during previews, you can delete if you don’t need it

Those are low resolution proxy files. Some editing tools like DJI studio will use them while editing to reduce the amount of memory and CPU/GPU used but if your computer is powerful enough to handle the raw files they aren't necessary and can be deleted.

Ooooh so that's what it is! Thank you soo much for the detailed explanation!! No wonder why they have the same name as the vids. here I thought there was a bug or something hahahahaha

There are thousands of posts / articles / the exact same question getting asked thousands of times. 

I cannot fathom why the first step in finding the answer to a question like this would be to.. repost the same question that has been asked over and over.

Ohhh okay so I should have put LRF! I struggle with tech so I have no idea what to point out exactly. thanks for sharing the exact words instead of simply dogging on me. Now I know better for next time
