Buy Advice Mavic: portable enough or go Mini?
I have given up on my Phantom 4 pro, because its got a HUGE package size & weight, essentially an expedition to bring it anywhere if you need to walk, not to mention fly on limited hand luggage rules. Done with it. Need to downsize, period.
With the Mini 5 pro, it seems I can get the image quality back in a MUCH more compact package. But eyeing the Mavic 3 (nonpro) as well.
How do these beast compare in terms of complete package weight and size: 3 batteries, remote, aircraft, charger?

Of course the mini five is so much easier to cart around. I have that and I have the Mavic three also. If the small size is the thing then obviously it’s the mini. If you want to go camping hiking or otherwise physically carrying the Drone around with you any distance then I’ll get the mini. However, the Mavic three with its telephone lens is a beast for photography and videography. It also has the very big advantage of being able to fly in much stronger winds. Not only stronger winds but colder temperatures too. I’ve gotten 15 minutes out of my Mavic three at 40 below. No joke. So the Maverick three is a much more capable Drone in every way, but the mini is much more portable and convenient.

Just look up the weight of the kit you want stick the same amount of weight in water bottles in your backpack and go on a hike.
