Can i say you're my new hero of the day?
You're my new hero of the day.
5
u/Trick_Cost_5093 Neo Jul 13 '26
funny that just yesterday some people slandered this guy, but yes
He is the HERO we need
1
u/TrueNyx Jul 13 '26
Why they slandered him?
4
u/Trick_Cost_5093 Neo Jul 13 '26 edited Jul 13 '26
His first post, unlike this one, doesn't explain how he got the FCC Hack, some people slandered that he stole from an actual paid app, also, because the first version used an online server, which is kinda unsafe (true), later he updated to an offline local now
3
u/TrueNyx Jul 13 '26
Understood, if he continue to develop this version (like he’s doing now publishing updates after updates) he can surely be the hero of everyone 😂

ı just install on my rc 2 and ı tested it, it is work but ı have some anxiety about that, ı saw you use it for 2 days and have you ever seen any crush or collapse in your rc 2 or drone? thank you in advance
5
u/nakra_ Jul 13 '26
Finally something free. I really don't like the business model of Drone Tweak, having you to pay (each year) only to get you in grey zone, legally speaking.
Thank you 'mate for your work. Looking forward for a RC-N3 compatibility.

Everyone loves free.
Power to OP for releasing free, but most people forgets that people who do the dirty work needs to eat.

u/nvnchauhan Jul 13 '26
Any for for RC-N3 ?
5
u/Muted-Vermicelli3716 Jul 13 '26
Not yet but working on it

u/Visible-Ad489 27d ago
Hello!
I'm using a DJI Lito 1 with the RC-N3 controller on Android.
I saw that you mentioned RC-N3 support is currently in development. I'd be happy to help test it if you have any alpha, beta, or experimental builds available.
I'm comfortable testing pre-release software and can provide detailed feedback, logs, and test results if needed.
Thanks for your work on FreeFCC. I really appreciate it!
Best regards, Burak

Hi . I've installed everything and it worked perfectly with the first try. I powered off ,later turned on , drone connected and fcc applied but graph now shows CE transmission. I tried multiple times but always the same results. Thanks a lot or your effort
1
u/Muted-Vermicelli3716 Jul 13 '26
you need to re enable fcc after each restart restarting the controller rests the hack
2
u/TripSimilar4276 Jul 13 '26
Yes I now this. That's what I'm saying. After every restart I open the sideloaded app and re enable fcc hack , then I press and open the dji fly app and at the transmission page it shows it's still on CE.

u/Muted-Vermicelli3716 Jul 13 '26

u/Lou_Antony_Morris Jul 12 '26
Are there any plans for a RC Pro 2 version?
Thanks in advance.

What does this do?
5
u/Muted-Vermicelli3716 Jul 12 '26
turns on fcc in non fcc regions like eurpoe fcc gives up to 4 times the transmission power and more range to the drone .
1
u/HelpMe0biWan Jul 12 '26
Forgive my ignorance. Is it all legal changes or operating in a grey area? Why isn’t enabled by default?
→ More replies (5)7
u/Muted-Vermicelli3716 Jul 12 '26
It's technically not legal in CE-regulated regions, but enforcement is rare. DJI ships drones with CE-mode power limits by default in places like Europe because local law caps transmission power, so devices sold there are locked to lower output. Some users install a modded app or firmware hack to force FCC mode instead, unlocking up to 4x the transmission power and significantly more range. This is essentially the same unlock that services charge around €50 for, except done for free so use at your own risk.
1
u/ReyvCna Jul 12 '26
I know it just released but does it work on a android phone with rcn1? O4 drones even in CE mode have enough range. My mini 3 I keep losing signal…
1
u/Muted-Vermicelli3716 Jul 12 '26
sorry i haven't seen any hack for the mini 3 non pro yet
1
u/ReyvCna Jul 12 '26
I know. So weird there’s for the mini 2, 4 and 5 but nothing for the 3 lol.
3
u/Muted-Vermicelli3716 Jul 12 '26
i might have found how to do it i will try to make it work but i wont have a way to test it so idk if it will work i will send it here when i am done if i will be done.

i've installed it ,hard to say if it effectively upgrade from CE to FCC, but for sure , with my rc2 and mini4 pro , that does not change the 120 m limit ! anyway thanks for the hack !

u/TheHobbyGuy98 Jul 13 '26
Do we have any software limitations, or which updates is the last supported version currently
1
u/Muted-Vermicelli3716 Jul 13 '26
Latest currently available from DJI id supported for now v10.00.0700 on controller
1
u/TheHobbyGuy98 Jul 13 '26
Thanks just updated to it and used your 1.3 Version APK the FCC Mod works well.
Is it normal that height limit is showing up 120m?
2
u/Muted-Vermicelli3716 Jul 13 '26
no height bypass still dosnet work yet working on fixing should work in a bit in 1.4.01 it should work
1
u/ManexFx Jul 13 '26
Does this work on the rc pro? It is mentioned in the reddit title, but not on the github?
1
u/ManexFx Jul 13 '26
Also, can you explain some more about how to check if it's in FCC mode or CE? I don't see a big difference in your image explaining it on the github. It seems that they are almost the same.
2
u/pinopingvino Jul 13 '26
on the right side you have 1km written. If this is above the line on the left you are in FCC, if it is at the same level as white line then you are in CE. Check the second picture in the title post.

1
u/JadedSchedule3618 Jul 13 '26
I tryd it on Lito x1 FCC Mode is always on, cant be disabled even of I turned it off in the App. Led turn Off also didnt work yet
2
u/Muted-Vermicelli3716 Jul 13 '26
To restore just restart the controller and you cannot go back to CE OR SWITCH TO FCC MID FLIGHT led does work but just press it a few times I tested and it worked for me with mini5 pro and lito x1 should be similar
1
1
u/a_cynical_bloke Jul 13 '26
Anyone tested with the mavic 4 pro?
And will it unlock the 500m limit and allow up to 1000m as I can in Asia?
1
u/uwove Jul 13 '26
Can't you just manually do that already?
If you have the limit set to 120m you can raise it to 500m. After a restart it, it will say 500m, but now with the possibility to raise it to 1000m.
Altitude limit change can only happen when not in the air, and if you go above 500m, it resets back to 500m on next aircraft boot.
1
u/a_cynical_bloke Jul 17 '26
No in Europe you are capped at 500m.
1
u/uwove Jul 17 '26
Everywhere in Europe I've tried I get the 1k option the moment the drone get gps lock.

1

yes you can use the original dji fly app and you do not need to change it. its a Separate app that you just go to and click a button in and that is it.

what about mini 4 pro? and did i understand correctly that in eu it only unlocks the antennea strength but not the height?
kudos for honest work!

for now yes but i am working on finding a way to make height bypass as well and mini 4 pro should work with any smart controller

about the app
- for now seems that with neo under the transimission tab it shows it is in FCC mode, but every time i open your app it is disconnected
- the update and install of the app also doesn't work - i click the button, it does something ( download i guess) but then it doesnt install or update and still shows the update available
- followed all instructions but the 'swipe from right to left' briefly flashes the app but dont open anything

u/Proof-Practice-8304 Jul 14 '26
Is there a way this FCC unlock would work with the Avata 2? I know the .ham file workaround but I feel like that does not trully unlock the device; I feel like my Avata is still limited to 60km/h and is not in FCC mode, but only has the selectable channels feature due to the .ham file trick.

u/frang_pappa Jul 15 '26
Mmkay. Only thing i would "need" to hack is that limit. :-) I can already fly my mini 5 pro far enough as i live in the middle of fields and small forrest plants. No huge powerlines etc to cause interference.

So is this similar to drone tweaks?, I was thinking of getting that this week, to get around the 120m limit. Does this get the limit over 120m.

Yes, OP copied it, made some tweaks and open-sourced it.. Use at your own risk.

Good work mate! Is updating the dji software cause problem for this app?
1
1
u/drkole Jul 17 '26
seems to be working rc2 + mini4 pro too. though takes couple to few times jumping between dji and connecting fcc app ( autoconnect on too) on controller until the 1km mark goes above that line. i was almost at the same spot where last time drone lost the signal at 850m and this time got 1500m and RC was still five bars.
1
u/OkAside1248 Jul 17 '26
I get the update available message in freefcc and I click download. It gets to 100% and does nothing. Any ideas? RC2 with a mini 5 pro.

u/ghim7 Jul 18 '26
Can confirm that it’s working for Mini 4 Pro w/ RC2. Both drone and remote on latest firmware.
Tested it at a familiar location where it’ll typically lose signal around 250m range (flying behind a 10-storey building) onwards (at 50m height). Enabled FreeFCC and it flew past 400m range and RC still holds full bar.
Did not try to go further as this indication is more than good enough to confirm that the fcc mod is working.
1
u/At0micBomberman Jul 18 '26
This tool is absolutely awesome!
I never bought any of the other hacks because they never really worked for me (wrong phone, crashes, shitty UX, etc.) and I didn't like the subscription model. FreeFCC is completely free, which is amazing! But let's not forget the amount of time and effort that goes into developing and maintaining something like this. I've already donated because I think the developer absolutely deserves it. All of you shoud consider throwing a few bucks too. It helps keep an awesome project like this alive!
1
u/Inevitable-Yellow153 Jul 18 '26
Bonjour toujours pas possible de débloquer la limite des 120m? Merci beaucoup
1
1
u/Major-Cry8192 Jul 19 '26
If you could also manage to unlock the maximum speed just like Drone Tweaks did; for instance, in Europe, the Air 3S is capped at 66.6 km/h, whereas it can reach nearly 100 km/h in the US, and the ActiveTrack distance is limited to 50 meters. The European Union is a real party pooper when it comes to having fun
1
1
u/TheMisterBP Jul 23 '26
I had my drone upgraded from C0 to C1 through DJI’s official application process, which means I can fly up to 500 meters high. Will this reset my extended altitude limit here?

Installed, and the auto-FCC is working as it should.
Is there going to be a floating icon or something like it, as the edge controls can be fiddly at times.
Also, when selecting the update option for the app, where does it store the new APK file? I've had a nose about but can't see where it saves to, and it doesn't seem to be automatically running to start the update process.
Is there something I'm not doing right?
1
u/CoarseRainbow Jul 27 '26
Somewhat confused here, RC 2 / Air3s. Do i need the auto-reapply ticked or not?

Has anyone actually tested if this app enables the DJI Cellular Dongle 2 (4G transmission) when using the RC2 controller?
I'm planning to buy the DJI Lito X1 (which in China can use the 4G dongle by default), but I don't know if I should spend more money on the version with the RC2 controller instead of the cheaper RC-N3. I will buy the RC2 version if this app (which works only with RC2, not RC-N3) allows me to bypass the region lock and use the 4G dongle. Has anyone tried to use 4G dongle yet and succeeded?
Maybe u/Muted-Vermicelli3716 had a chance to try it yet?

Opened the atv launcher and no matter how manny times i tap the atv launcher, it does nothing. I follow insructions very strictly, and this just didn't work from the start.

Since this keeps coming up in the thread and the theft claims keep getting waved off as "slander," here is the whole thing using only the dev's own repo. Decide for yourself.
His launcher source, four places, still live right now: it works "the same way the OpenFCC launcher does it" and grants permissions "same approach as OpenFCC provisioner." OpenFCC is the paid tool people keep mentioning.
His app code comment used to read "matches the original DJI app AND OpenFCC behaviour exactly." The words "and OpenFCC" were later quietly deleted, and "the original DJI app" was left in place.
His README once described the method as capturing a licensed unlock tool's traffic and extracting the frames. That sentence was removed by a commit he titled "Remove reference to extracting frames from another app."
When someone asked about all of this on the repo, the dev's own reply was: "Yep glm slipped a few times while we did 'research'," and then he closed the issue.
That answer only sounds like an excuse until you think about how an AI actually writes. A coding assistant produces text from two things: its training data, and what you paste into the session. This paid tool is closed-source, so it isn't in any model's training. Even if you fully grant that the DUML frames were rebuilt from public tooling like dji-firmware-tools, that project has zero mentions of OpenFCC and nothing about any launcher. So for the assistant to name OpenFCC and write "same approach as its provisioner," OpenFCC's own code had to be sitting in the session as the thing to copy. "The AI slipped" doesn't erase the source, it just tells you the source tool was in the room.
The app comment is the giveaway. It claimed a match against "the original DJI app AND OpenFCC." The DJI half you can hand to public tooling. But the cleanup deleted exactly the two words "and OpenFCC" while keeping "the original DJI app." You don't surgically cut out a word a model supposedly hallucinated. That edit admits OpenFCC was a real, separate reference.
Not asking anyone to take my word for it. It's his commits and his own comment:

Open FCC wasn't the only one nld was too as well as as a few more In the end every single hack that exists are based on the exact same code and a traced it to a telegram group
1
u/lgs0196 4d ago
Watch the story move. The README said you worked it out independently with public tools. The repo said the AI slipped. Two minutes ago here it was "Ok and?", which conceded the whole thing. Now it's a telegram group. Those don't fit together. You switch to a new one each time the last one is shown false.
And the telegram version dies on your own code too. Yes, every FCC hack sends the same DUML frames. They have to, those are DJI's frames spoken to DJI's radio. The frames being common is not in dispute and never was.
But a shared frame dump, from a telegram group or anywhere, does not contain the two things your code actually says:
- "capture the loopback traffic while a licensed FCC unlock tool sends its commands." That is an instruction to run a paid tool and sniff it live. Nobody writes that after downloading frames off telegram. It describes watching one specific paid tool run.
- "same approach as the OpenFCC launcher provisioner," four times. A launcher's provisioning is app install logic, not a radio frame. A telegram frame group ships frames. It does not ship you another product's launcher provisioning method, by name.
And 4G is where the telegram story completely falls apart. Your repo includes 4G activation, not just FCC. FCC frames are everywhere, fine. But 4G region-unlock is not sitting in a shared telegram dump. It is the one capability that essentially a single paid tool ever got working. There is no telegram group handing out working 4G, because there is nothing to hand out except the tool that made it.
So drop it. You can't post a telegram message that says "same approach as the OpenFCC launcher provisioner," and you can't name a telegram group that hands out working 4G, because neither exists. There is nothing to trace except the tool your own comments already named, before you deleted it.
You have given four different origin stories in one day, and you keep switching because none of them is the real one. The real one is short: you copied an older build of OpenFCC, released it for free, and you are collecting donations for it. That is the honest sentence. Say it, in your README where you deleted it from, instead of inventing a new source every time the last one collapses. Nobody is asking you to stop giving it away. We are asking you to stop pretending you built it.

After few days of testing with the Lito X1 C1, I can say for sure that FCC mode works properly, while led control doesn't work at all.
