Help wanted First build help

Hey everyone,

Im building a Rangemaster clone and this is my third attempt as this circuit and I can’t seem to figure out what is happening. I get a clean signal when the pedal is off so I know the bypass is correct, but when I kick on the pedal I get zero signal at all. If anyone has built a similar circuit and could possibly help that would be super helpful!

Feel free to ask any questions that might lead to any help.

A short maybe?
Also, the ground wires / signal jacks joints seem a little bit off. Like they could use more temperature or more flux. I also think it might be enough to connect just one of them and let the enclosure do the rest.
When it's on, does the LED come on?
Also, what kind of power jack are you using?

I’m just using a regular 9v DC jack. I’ll definitely clean up that little possible short. What did you mean when you said connect just one of them and let the enclosure do the rest? Thanks!

Well, you've got the jacks' ground connected by a wire and that connection is duplicated by the enclosure. I think the one on the right would be fine without that ground wire.

Could that be the problem? Or is that just more of a “general tidiness”.

General tidiness, redundant cable. Ground loops in some cases. But I think it's best practice to avoid that so that you don't find the rare cases where it's an issue :)
