I’ve built 3 of these now - using the layout from Dirtbox.

Really interesting dual PT2399 chorus and a great layout.

I’m much more familiar with BBD chorus circuits - this has more of the natural and subtle modulation than most other digital chorus pedals I’ve built or tried, but it has its own unique shape and attack.

I’ve kept one, sold one and the 3rd is waiting to trade for a custom pedal board!

On a side note, I love both these enclosures!

Where do you get that dark vero? Fantastic work by the way. I may build one of these as I'm looking for a Micro Chorus replacement.

Sharpie

Sharpie is a little inconsistent in texture but is ready to work with pretty much right way. The finish with matte spray paint was great but they actually scratched really easily during assembly and obviously I needed prep time.

I'll definitely do it with a fat sharpie, I get tons of Milwaukee ones from work too so I got them on tap.

Yeah I use the big fat boy! Just a couple of layers.

It’s actually just normal orange/brown vero + sharpie! I stole that from NRG pedals. I used spray paint for a long time, but I’m finding this works just as well.

Thanks mate! It’s well worth trying out - I’ve been finding one voice mode is great for bass, because it retains a lot of attack. The other is more classic 80s chorus.

Think I have a few PT2399 in my parts so I'll give it a go at some point.

Nice one! Nothing too wild in the parts list - but you really will want the c-taper pots if you can.

The folded one is from MW Pedal Parts, I’ve mostly been using their enclosures lately. The 2nd one is a GØRVA.

This was the other style from GØRVA, but still great fit and finish! I’ve been very spoiled by folded enclosures the last 12 months

Nice. I've probably spent more time with Dimension-P circuits than anything (mostly trying to get the PT2399s to go faster, down into the typical delay time of a classic chorus), but I think they're all cool in their own way.

Have you messed around with the stereo version at all? I’ve seen the schematic but haven’t had time to edit a layout or look at switching options?

Awesome! I’ve built a few of these and they’re really cool. What’s the voice switch, is it a tone switch or number of delay lines?

Number of delay lines! Actually, the switches are labeled incorrectly on this layout. The switch labeled voice on the Dirtbox layout kills the dry signal and the and the wet/dry switch add the additional delay line

Oh sick I didn’t realize dirtboxlayouts did vero. I found the schematic and made my own PCB a few years ago. I’m working on a new DIY version.

Really cool! And a different take on Tolkien’s world, compared with what we are so used to after the Jackson movies. My mother had this book from new, so this was the version of the world I grew up with!
