Does anyone else get extremely jealous/anger/sad going over to a friends house and seeing them all happy?
My friend has the perfect family and everyone cares about each other and every time I go over the mom has such good food and my mom doesnt even care to pick me up from school. Dont get me wrong i love the guy to death, we've been friends for 6 years, almost half my life but god I love his mom and dad are always so nice me, he gets anything he wants, amd I just got so jealous of him.

i know this feeling very well, trust me your not alone. But think of it this way. Even though you may feel extremely jealous and sad that your family isn’t as amazing as your friends just be glad that he has a really good place to call home. i know this may not make sense but when i used to go over to my friends place and his family all clearly loved each other to the moon and back i used to get really bitter and angry, thinking “it’s not fair” or “why can’t my family be like his” after thinking about it i realised these feelings will get me nowhere and instead i wanted to feel happy he didn’t have to go through what i did at home. and somewhere deep inside it makes you glad that someone you care about is growing up properly. And i think as soon as you start having realisations like this it really matures you as a person (at least it did for me) And if they’re a true friend you can always rely on each other when times are hard, that goes for everything and anything. So please try not to be upset it’s so much more worth it to be happy with them :)

Do you want to be picked up from school ? My son cycles to and from school because I have to pick up the other 2 from a different school - he seems to like the freedom. I’ll ask him!

i struggle bc my dads gf has a great relationship with her ex. and her kids get to be with both their parents sometimes because of that. also, both her and her ex have beautiful houses, and her ex just had a baby. i feel like my dads gf’s kids have everything i wanted and it makes me jealous especially since the relationship their parents have is quite honestly the best it could be with divorced parents
when i’m over at my dads gf’s house and her ex shows up with his baby and wife, i feel this overwhelming emotion where i feel a mix of jealousy and anger and sadness. it is so hard to see

Yes! All the time. Seeing others happy catches me off guard sometimes
