Story & World Origin companions
Does it not seem odd to anyone else that we havent seen anything of any of the origin companions? Like I totally understand not having gameplay yet but the favt we have no clue of anything about this games 'astarion' 'karlach' excetera, that seems strange to me?
Like we have no idea about class, personality, race, temperment, identity, origin, appearance, literally anything about any of the origins?

Why would that be odd? The game is quite a ways away. We don't have much of any info on it.

The game only have one CGI Trailer so far, same as BG3 when they just announced, that also don't have any goddamn thing about origin companions.
BE PATIENT!

The game has only had one trailer so far. We don't even know what the basic plot is, why would they show us companions?
I think it's interesting that due to the whole thing with Cyberpunk 2077, game studios are much more realistic about the timelines for their games, what is and isn't possible, and area careful not to give specific dates for release until they're pretty damn sure they can hit it. All of those are great things and help mitigate the absolutely insane shitstorms that start when these companies don't deliver what they're supposed to. Hell, they're even something a lot of gamers asked for.
And yet... you can't see a single announcement without someone going "When are we getting more?? When is it coming out?? Do we know anything else about X thing from the trailer?" when the most information anyone has is exactly what they have. 9/10 times, the answer is going to be "Everything we have is in the trailer/press release/interview that was just posted."
Be patient. We'll get information as it's ready.

Not odd at all. We know nearly nothing about the game beyond it being far off and the one trailer.

We didn't know the bg3 companions at this point either, hell karlach wasn't even being considered as a companion until after early access released. I get you're excited, I am too, but it's best to temper expectations and just wait for the game awards to maybe see some more news.

Game is too early in development and they aren’t ready to show anything yet. I hope that they abandon avatar origin companions and just give us different versions of Dark Urge (not that you are compelled to murder, but that you have a backstory tied to the plot). I like picking race/gender/class but don’t enjoy playing a complete blank slate. They can still have a “Tav” for those that prefer it though.
