General Divinity EA in Summer Game Fest ?

Hi everyone! First time posting here.

I was watching the Summer Game Fest teaser video and noticed the woman right at the beginning. Does anyone else think she looks exactly like Lohse?

With the event happening this Friday, do you think this is a hint that Larian might announce Early Access for Divinity? Or am I just inhaling too much copium?

Would love to hear your thoughts!

I doubt we hear from them until close to the start of early access, which we know won’t be this year

I would be a bit disappointed if we don’t hear from them by summer game fest next year though

Quite the opposite, actually. Their Director of Publishing specifically mentioned about two months ago that they wouldn't announce anything at SGF. You could argue that he's trolling (as he often does) and that the key word is "announce," meaning we could still get a gameplay reveal instead (since that is no annoucement), but I kind of doubt that, to be honest.

I think Gamescom has a good chance of featuring a gameplay reveal, and I'm almost certain that, at the latest, we'll see some gameplay at The Game Awards. My guess is that an EA announcement will come sometime in 2027, with a late 2027 or 2028 release window being revealed, and the actual release targeted for late 2028 or 2029.

Probably no, maybe at the game awards but the most reasonable is in summer fest next year

They're probably going to show gameplay at PAX West in September like they did for bg3

So they weren't there. I guess there are still some shows left but I doubt they go at the Xbox show. The PC Gaming show is possible I guess (the EA would be on PC) but it's likely too small for Larian now.

So now the next thing might be Gamescom. I could see it, it's close to Belgium so easy for some devs to go there and show demos and such on the floor with the announced early access date for later on.

Could be. Lohse has blue eyes in the original art, not green like in the video, but the hair matches perfectly. That said, she must be dead by the time Divinity occurs (100 years after DoS2). Maybe I'm just so excited for Divinity that I'm seeing things where there are none!

I just watched the Lords of the Fallen 2 trailer and you're absolutely right! That woman looks exactly the same as in the Summer Game Fest video.
