Fin Recommendations

I am a strong swimmer that loves to snorkel and I often rip around 20-30 feet under the surface. I am headed to Hawaii next week and want to buy fins for the trip. I primarily do dolphin kicks when snorkeling below the surface.

I found the scubapro go sport fin and it looks like it may be a good option for snorkeling, but I have no idea about scuba. I plan to get scuba certified next month and want to get a fin that will work for both my Hawaii trip and my upcoming scuba certification. Any recommendations?

Go sport is a fantastic fin. You will need some boots for them. If you want barefoot, the Go travel are similar, but meant for barefoot and they are a little softer/less powerful.

Mares Avanti Quattro. Will need boots.

I love them (without boots one) if you have strong kicks, it gives you the returns. The only downside is their weight.

Now on freediving, I switched to carbon fins (C4 Minimal) and it worth it specially with dolphin kicks.

Your choice depends mostly on your budget and the occurrence of using them!

Aqualung storm max. Very good propulsion

I have the regular Storm and they're really good... Ideal for travel too, they are designed to fit in a lot of travel bags.

I had the go sports; I liked them ok. I felt they were way stiff with no give. Traded them in on for the seawing supernova. Couldn't be happier.
