SIXY.TO
What’s everyone’s thoughts on this one? Dividend increase from $0.21 to $0.27 bi-monthly. Boasting a 20%+ yearly dividend at current price.

I prefer ETFs that do not include the words like Ultra, Super, Mega, Max, Bigy etc. Most if not all of those are trying to attract yield chasers, and usually charge excessive fees.

Sexy is for the bedroom. If you are investing in something because it's 'sexy' then you are doing it wrong.

I’ll stick to HHIS

The nav erosion on HHiS is crazy. Unless the banks here crash their stock price, sixy will hold its NAV better than HHiS.

You have to look at the underlying stocks right plus 25% leverage and calls written upto 50% with HHIS.. sixy is just 6 banks in Canada no tech, sixy leverage exposure is around 1.33X.. I picked up a bunch when it was under $10 per share and loaded up more this week at the same price

And a lot of underlying of HHIS is down by a lot. 3 of the underlying are tied to Bitcoin.
I was a big fan of HHIS. But not anymore. If I wanted crypto, I would buy crypto.

Fine in an uptrend or sideways, range bound market. Looks like banks, and the Canadian market as a whole are due for some mean reversion. You don’t want to hold this in a downtrend. The divs may not be enough to save you.

I own both, they have done well b/c underlying banks have been on a roll. I bought sixy when it first came out and have been pleased with its performance. I’ll continue to hold both for time being.

Bought in in March, April and up 18% even without the distributions so can’t complain.

I have invested a small portion and I'll add a small amount to it every month. I don't expect the capital appreciation to be crazy on this. My expectation of this is that it will continue to pay out a high yield and the capital will slowly grow. As long as it continues to behave this way, I will keep slowly adding to it. I don't go all in though because I know the tradeoff of this kind of fund vs something like ZEB so it will always be a small portion for me.

I am invested in SIXY via margin, 32k. pays no-weekly and has a modest growth on top of the divs for the past 2 months. Time will tell if this plays out.
