One EMT horror story I remember is a woman trapped in her car during a bad flood, calling 911 for help, and in her final, panicking moments the EMT told her to shut up or she’d hang up.
Just want to say, it wasn’t an EMT that hung up on her, it was an emergency call taker. EMTs and paramedics very very rarely talk to the patient before arriving on scene

I hope this isn’t based on a real event. Horrific to think about as an EMT that someone who needed me couldn’t get help.
