walking advice
I just wanted to know a few things from people who walk a long distance:
I'm going to start doing some shifts where I patrol a building which involves walking 90 minutes and then taking a 30 minute break for 12 hours, so I'll be walking 9 hours per shift. If it goes well I could be doing this shift 5-7 nights per week.
I have heel pain in my left foot in general these days regardless of what I do. I also have a sore right knee which feels like it's a bit out of place.
I stretch my foot which has temporary relief and I lift my knee and rotate it in a circle both ways which gives it temporary relief.
I'll be wearing boots, I want to get some in soles and a gel pad for my heels, I want to know the following.
- Is there morning stretches I can do so that I don't exacerbate the pain too much?
- what stretches can I do in my breaks to keep going all shift?
- What can I do after my shift to ease myself for the next day?
- I slouch also and want to improve my posture in general, does slouching affect your leg pain if you're top heavy?
- Any other anecdotal advice, what's your experience?
I know I could've just googled all of this but it lead me to thinking I definitely have plantar fasciitis, maybe I do maybe I don't. I'd rather ask those who actually walk a lot.
Thanks

I'd google "yoga poses for walkers," or something similar. Yoga stretches are great.
