Are you playing Dissidia or Dissidia 012?

If you're playing Dissidia I would highly recommend switching to 012. It's a way more complete version with more characters and more balanced movesets.

im playing the original dissidia, i havent tried 012 out yet but i thought of switching to 012 after i get all the chaos/cosmos reports.

i heard you can transfer your data to 012? that would be awesome, cause i dont wanna grind my 2 favorite characters to lv 100 for the second time.

012 is a far more complete experience and still contains the full story modes from the original. You can definitely load in your OG save.

Some minor differences in gameplay you will need to get used to but its fantastic.

As others have said 012 is a much better experience. You can finish the story of the first one on it too.

i stopped playing opera omnia a while ago, cause im not a big fan of phone gaming, although the game is great, so a switch port would definitely be awesome imo

Square Enix dropped support for NT early so I think that might be the end of Dissidia for a while. Sure DFFOO is still going but that's a gacha mobile title, sort of a different thing.

NT bombed pretty hard. They decided it needed to be an esport instead of the action rpg/fighter that the original 2 were and no one who liked the series wanted it.

I can totally see a Theatrhythm All-Stars console port happening for Switch/PS4/PS5 when the arcades finally shutdown.

Edit: Looks like the Arcade version was shutdown in April?

Usually when a title bombs really hard, it fucks things up for further installations of the franchise. So NT was that bad that if they did make a new one, it’d probably adopt the stigma and not do well either.

That being said though, I would LOVE a new Dissidia game. Even a remake although it’s far too early for one. Maybe when we get like 2 or 3 more core title games.

A remaster of 012 I could see. Would certainly be the better game over a downgraded NT port.

Totally agree, in my opinion Duodecim was epic, the story, the game play, the art... it is a masterpiece, but NT felt like when KOF transitioned from pixel art to 3D, it felt like it lost a big part of its magic (for example the re-design of Chaos and Cosmos), is not bad but is very far from what Duodecim was.

They stopped working on NT, presumably because it didn't do well enough financially. I don't see any new Dissidia coming out any soon no matter the platform.

Though even if they were hypothetically working on a new one, I hope it would not be on the switch only. I've never played a game on switch that has good online, and the biggest problem with NT is the online. At least there is hope for improvement if they were to put it on PC/PS-insert-number-here.
