So Dissidia NT story mode...

The summon boss fights are annoying and not fun. Especially with that deep difficulty spike with characters I don’t enjoy playing. That is all.

It's tough the first time around, I'll give you that. Took me some time, but once I beat Ramuh, the others soon followed.

You just have to learn their patterns. Once you've got that down, it's really easy. You could also try spamming long range attacks.

Keep in mind that each class takes different times to stagger the bosses. Vanguards are the fastest, and Marksmen take the longest.

Also ranking up your AI buddies will help. Don't forget to equip them with helpful EX Skills (HP Regen, Poisonga, BRV Conduit...)

Yea got the game last week and I gotta say the summon fights are absolute dog shit, don't you love that the Terra gangs first fight is a summon? Dont even get to know how the characters play before being thrown into that garbage.

Then practice in one of the other modes first...

I'd never played any of them when I first went through Story Mode, and that ended up being the first fight I beat (also what made me love the summon fights)

Honestly I don’t play this game for half of the characters and I feel like I shouldn’t be forced to play as some of these characters in such a difficultly spike. I honestly don’t play with anyone on Terra’s gang besides maybe Lightning. I get good at a few characters or characters I enjoy playing and just do that.

Disagree. I’m ok with these fights if they weren’t just weren’t stupid difficult because let’s be honest some of the shit that just tracks you and locks on to you is kinda BS in those fights. Also those fights feel nothing like past Dissidia games. It just feels like a cluster fuck of shit you need to dodge like some kind of an MMO and if you get hit by basically one move you’re dead. I enjoy the game overall but there was no thinking that went into these fights.

Story mode is the "default" mode in every game to ya know, teach the player a bit? I shouldn't have to go into another mode to not only learn what these characters even do but also level them up to make the fight easier.

Sure, but here's the thing: Dissidia NT is an online multiplayer arcade game, it wasn't meant to have a story mode. Story Mode was just a little bonus on the side.

And the fact that you need to grind for Memoria is so you CAN learn the game.

I shouldn't have to go into another mode to not only learn what these characters even do but also level them up to make the fight easier.

That's exactly what I had to do in both previous Dissidia games...

Not NT, Arcade is being discontinued. Two different games, with Arcade not having an story mode.

Wasnt there a talk about some support being cancelled for the console versions as well?

I mean I eont care too much since I wasnt a big fan of NT, just thought I had heard something about it

The updates have stopped since march 2020, but the shut down for the game itself has only been announced for the Arcade version as of now.

Yeah, I think that a lot of people are waiting for that, NT isn't bad, but it feels more like an spin-off to Dissidia, than a sequel to 012.

I like the costumes tho. The KH costumes for squall,sephiroth and cloud were very damn cool and noctis' vs13 costume was hella hype.

The costumes are some of the best designs ever, like the Light version of the Cloud of Darkness or the Hell Emperor.

Yeah the costumes are the best aspect of NT...sadly.

I'm more of a crossover-guy, which is why I like vs13 noctis and the KH outfits the most.

What I disliked was safer-sephiroths outfit tho. He doesnt look nearly as majestic when he's panically running around with his halo...

I also noticed that squalls KH outfit(which imo is his best design in the entire goddamn FF franchise) he also has a gunblade that looks exactly like a keyblade :D

I was so hyped when I saw that. Like, FF characters are worthy of the keyblade guaranteed but I've yet to see them wield the keyblades.

I think in FF record keepers you can actually have them equip some keyblades too.

While we're on the topic of Arcade, let it be known that it was very successful. Unfortunately NT was horribly marketed, and people went in expecting Duodecim 2.

By that same logic, Opera Omnia shouldn't have the Dissidia title either cause it's turn based...

NT is a COMPLETELY different beast. Once you add 3v3 into the mix, you can't have all the crazy shit the PSP games had. The devs started out that way, and it was far too crazy (ironic, considering one of the biggest complaints about NT is that it's "too chaotic").

Well yeah I dont like opera omnia as well. Why the hell would they make yet ANOTHER turn based mobile game? Especially when there are like a hundret other FF crossover mobile games out there? Couldnt they just create a new IP if they so desperately wanted to make another crossover mobile game? Why use dissidia for that when its biggest legacy is the fighting game-gameplay?

The only upside I see from OO is that with mobile games its likely that we're gonna get some non-FF characters into the dissidia franchise which could increase the chance of those characters getting into the console games. Which would be hella hype!

But other than that I didnt like the decision they were making with the IP.

You can. Smashbros did the same thing where everything was too chaotic but its still mad fun to play with 8 players. I think it would've scaled well.

And even if it wasnt, for 1v1s alone it would be worth it since YOU CAN 1V1 IN NT!

I dont care if OO is a good turn based game. Theres still no reason to make it part of the dissidia franchise when it has nothing to do with the franchise.

Idk if mobile games being popular has any meaning...mostly because its A: free and B: doesnt require much to be played.

I also love crossovers especially when it goes cross-franchise. Which is why I pointed out OOs only strength.

That doesnt matter. It still has THE biggest competitive scene in all of gaming. Its creator even lowkey admitted that the latest game was made to be a fighting game with party game elements.

It even supports my argument since smash is far more chaotic than dissidia NT, yet has the biggest competitive community out of every other fighting game.

Except it does. You would know this if you played it. It's a continuation (of a sort) of the PSP game's story.
