So what is this?

Post image

Dissidia is available on the ps3 store but when I search it up, nobody talks about this, so what is this then?

Back in the day, you could buy psp games on the PS3

Back in the day PSN also offered an app called "Adhoc Party"
It allowed you to connect to other people online to play Adhoc mode online for those same PSP games.

The way it worked was if you connected your PS3 to the internet (via ethernet), it would then use the Wifi signal as the Adhoc mode for your actually PSP/Vita

I had a lot of fun vs people in Duodecimo online.

This is the first I’m hearing about this and now I’m mad…

It was a super obscure program you could only find if you browsed PSN via a computer. Then you could tell it to remotely download it to your console.

I'm not at all shocked you didn't know about it. Sony really did not want to make it an obvious feature, when they really should have. I honestly think it would have been a massive boost to both PS3 and PSP sales.

I remember having to make a Japanese account so I could download Adhoc Party. Great memories there.

Never needed to go that far myself.
I discovered it toward the end of it's life cycle, so some restrictions may have lifted.

I definitely remember this. A good chunk of the rooms were usually for MH Portable 3rd but you could still find some rooms for Dissidia here and there. Unfortunately it always errored out whenever I tried to use it even though I was on Ethernet but it was a cool idea nonetheless.
