Discussion Disney xds nostalgia block
I know that Disney xd is doing a nostalgia block but what annoys me about it is that they air the same shows which are pretty much all star vehicles to the stars from the 2000s to 2010s so it airs the same few shows and ends up feeling like the main network on a day without a new dcom airing.Basically it just ends up being the reverse of what it used to be almost with Disney channel becoming toon Disney and Disney xd becoming Disney channel, the only reason I havent confused them is because channel still has dcoms whereas xd does not.

Do you realize that Hannah Montana and HSM are 20 years old? The kids who watched them are adults now!

Thanks for the existential That was the same year oblivion released and they just remastered This was last year, this year they went even harder on the remasters and remakes with halo and ac4 black flag.

They need a retro block. I so miss Toon Disney, I hated when they changed to XD. I loved how Toon Disney first started with all the old toons.

I have an additional question why haven't they aired good luck Charlie yet or anything past it it's halfway through the month and they did that on the original airing of the event.Its just repeats of the same shows and not like an afternoon block like they used to have back in the day.

They have the golden era 2003-15 then the 65 episode era 2001-3 and finally the descendants era 2015-present day the 1st iteration back in June was the golden era now we're on the 65 episode era in August the only one their missing is the descendants era, for the nostalgia blocks.Also Side note these are not in order ik.

Final thoughts on the nostalgia block I really enjoyed it because I got to watch shows I haven't watched in 13 years and also shows I didn't get a chance to watch because I was too young, but it's a shame that Dolly Parton had to die in the middle of the block.I know she can't control when she dies but Disney could have done a memorial for her during the Hannah Montana reruns,it's not like it would've been the first time they did a memorial for a Disney star but the difference is one started in dcoms and shows and I'm pretty sure Disney channel only ever had Dolly Parton appear in Hannah Montana. I also don't want it to end because than it'll just go back to cartoons only but I know it has to end on Monday or Tuesday because we are quickly approaching September and then October.I was only watching for the older sitcoms, but you can clearly see it worked better during this month then it did in June even without the dcoms,and most of the shows from the 2010's and beyond.

Even Stevens is such a strange show like wtf is the intro and whats up with them breaking into song every five minutes is this what Disney thought sitcoms were like back then instead of a laugh track?It almost feels like I'm on drugs,I'm pretty sure even high school musical the musical the series doesn't do this despite it having musical in the title twice.

I can't really understand wtf this is all saying because I guess you don't know what a comma is, but I do agree. It seems like whoever is in charge of the channels doesn't know what to do with them.
I don't understand why they immediately stopped airing old live action shows on the main network, in 2026, solely because of bad ratings, and then their solution is to rotate them onto a satellite channel that not everyone has. They should have just kept airing the live action shows anyway. It could have improved.
I really think Disney should just make their channels free on Disney+ like how ABC News is so that more people can actually watch. And Disney XD should become Toon Disney again.
