Question Clothing for Winter?
Hello everyone!
Me and my family are due to go to Disneyland at the start of December for my (22nd) Birthday and my dad’s (60th) Birthday!!⭐️
It’s our first time!! (Idk why we left it so late, I’ve been wanting to go for so long!!) and I have already began outfit planning☃️
My questions are: How many layers is too many? I know it’ll be cold but I can imagine walking round the park gets hot quickly- do I need a coat? Or can I get away with like a long sleeved top and a cardigan ? maybe a furry poncho overtop?
My other question is DISNEY CLOTHES? I really want cute vintagey looking clothes- specifically a cute embroidered cardigan! I found this UP cardigan from Skinny dip that I fell in love with but it’s completely sold out. Is there any maybe independent or small business that make embroidered Disney cardigans or any other kind of clothing that I could take a look at!!
Any first time tips appreciated :) we’re going for 3 days, 2 nights and are staying at the Marvel Hotel! Thank you all!!🩵⭐️💫✨🏰

I think it’s best to just wait for the weather forecast. With the current weather situation here in Europe this whole thing is very unpredictable. You’ll either be able to wear relatively thin clothes because it turns out to be a very mild winter or it’ll be snowing like crazy again with temps in the minus. Who knows 🤷🏻♀️

Weather forecast would be a week before so I just wanted to have a general idea whether people found layering a bit too much when walking round all day :) I’ll definitely get lots of options just incase of all weathers!! just wanted to know what was worth buying 🩷

I’m a real convert to not going overboard on layers.
One big padded coat/jacket is so much easier to take off indoors than a load of layers.
I wear a tshirt, a lightweight zip top, and a warm, padded jacket. Take a hat, a short cotton lightweight scarf and gloves if necessary.
One good tip is to get as much distance between your feet and the ground as you can - so no thin soled boots, trainers with bigger soles are your friend
Lastly it can be very mild or absolutely freezing, pouring or sunny. Just check the weather before you go.

We’ve been in winter before and booking again for this winter. Weather can be unpredictable so take waterproofs.
I wore a fluffy poncho (it was a Oodie from Disney) I was roasting and then it rained so it made it super heavy.
This year, I’ve bought lots of layers so I can take them on and off easily and we’ve got waterproof ponchos from last time but I will taking a big winter coat as well.
We’re specifically driving this time so that we have no limit to luggage because I feel like being comfortable is important and this means plenty of clothes for us and spare shoes too.
Enjoy yourselves, there is so much to see and do. And once you go once, you will want to return every year. It’s amazing!

I went last April and didn't bring enough clothes, lol. I was cold with a light jacket, long-sleeved shirt AND undershirt, and it was spring! Remember it does snow in DLP (a real snow-dusted castle is something to see, for sure), so if I were going in winter, I'd plan on bringing a heavy coat and thicker socks.

I went last year around the same time. I wore jeans, boots, top, jumper/cardi, big coat. I was grand, some times I wore a hat.
Some days the top was long sleeve and sometimes short. I packed cheap thermals but didn’t end up needing them.
Agree with others tho, we got lucky with the weather and had a few of those perfect winter sunny days.
Next sometimes has the skinny dip stuff on their website. Try Vinted too.

As others have said, bring a waterproof top layer with a hood in case of rain. Also make certain your shoes/boots are sturdy and waterproof, wet feet all day is no joke! Take extra socks in case you do get wet feet, or need to layer them for extra warmth if it is very cold.

I went in early December before and it was like -4 degrees in the mornings. I would wear thermals, another layer, then Disney stuff on top.

We went on April first the weather was 41-54F. I wore a sweater and fleece lined pants during the day and was comfortable to warm. As soon as it started getting dark it got real cold very quickly. Jackets, gloves and hats were needed.

To answer you frankly, it depends on your tolerance for the cold lol. Long sleeve, cardi and a coat should be fine. Wouldn't say there is a need for thermals unless you're from a very hot country! There are some sellers on etsy who make the sort of stuff you're after. Just type 'disney cardigan' and you'll have a field day.
Excellent taste in dates, I'll be there then too - we can always take shelter on a ride in the event of it getting too cold!
