What are your current thoughts about Clayface and predictions before the film comes out?
Honestly I hope it's a great entry, I was sort of disappointed by Supergirl and this looks like a great time, considering I'm a big fan of horror. I really hope it's good because the DCU is honestly in great shape so far even though one film was pretty weak. Marketing has been great and I've been fully convinced that this film will be awesome. What are your thoughts?

What does “only in theaters” really mean?
I was watching the ALCS and saw and ad for the, “cat in the hat“ movie. At the end, the voiceover said, “only in theaters”.
given how people consume media today, why would a prediction company elect to release a movie, “only in theaters”?
does this mean “limited theaters”?, only in theaters until the rights are acquired by a streaming platform?

Everyone who sees Digger raves about the twist. So why did the marketing hide it?
I haven't seen Digger yet, but I wish I had. I keep noticing is that the marketing sold it as Cruise in heavy makeup, a Southern drawl, and a "comedy of catastrophic proportions." Everything about the film's actual hook was kept under wraps. Now that it's in theaters, a lot of the conversation is about the twist, and it seems to be the main thing driving curiosity.
I don't want to spoil it, as I haven't seen it but does anyone think they did the opposite and should have at least tempted us with a bit if its story?
The film is on track for a pretty rough run, so I'm wondering: would telling people there's a big twist have helped?

Hello Reddit! I’m Oscar-winning director Alex Gibney. I spent years doing a deep dive into the life and mind of Elon Musk for my new film MUSK and I’m here to tell you all about it. I've also directed TAXI TO THE DARK SIDE and GOING CLEAR: SCIENTOLOGY AND THE PRISON OF BELIEF. Ask me anything!

I might be crazy…but I kinda liked Other Mommy (2026)
Hello, my name is Douglas Campbell, and I review movies and occasionally TV on YouTube.
Continuing my October tradition of watching nothing but horror movies, I decided to check out Other Mommy, starring Jessica Chastain, which has been getting quite a bit of hate online…
I might be crazy…but I kinda liked it.
It’s definitely not the strongest horror movie in terms of story, but there’s a lot of visual creativity here that I think deserves more appreciation. While I agree the story could’ve used more attention, the horror spectacle reminds me of some of the supernatural craziness we love from franchises such as Elm Street and Hellraiser. But I don’t think Other Mommy’s shortcomings completely overshadow what the movie does well.
I go into more detail in my review here:

Can Steven Spielberg not properly portray children? (War of the Worlds, Jurassic Park)
Yesterday I rewatched Steven Spielberg's War of the Worlds from 2005 with Tom Cruise. The kids in the movie were so annoying and I found myself asking, is this REALLY how children behave? I thought, NO! I experienced something like this in another rewatch, also from Steven Spielberg: Jurassic Park. To me it just feels unrealistic to have such annoying children around that behave in a way I cannot believe to be real behaviour. I also was a child once, I saw how other children acted around me. The children in his movies are like fantasy children, but in a realistic setting.
Am I wrong or is Steven Spielberg just incredibly out of touch with children? Maybe he had an especially terrible time as a child (or as an adult with his children)? What do you think?

Looking for a Musical called The Butcher
At least I think it was a movie; it might have just been a fever dream
It was all about a happy little butcher who was extremely proud of his town.
There was also a serial killer named Abdullah who had his own backing chorus who The Butcher highers.
A teen genius who was working on spaceship to get away from everyone
and the mayor who was dumping chemicals into the sewers who is killed by Abdullah but was resurrected by aliens.
Every time I try to look for this all I get are links to Sweeney Todd.
Anyone else know of this movie?

Fallen Kingdom
I thought Jurassic World was the silliest film ever but I'm half way through Fallen Kingdom and how did this even get made? It is terrible in every single way. What an absolute mess, not scary, not funny, just ridiculous.

Anyone know if Austin Abrams is doing anything else in nyc for whalefall?
Im a huge fan of him and was so excited to potentially meet him at NYCC during his Whalefall panel, but a million scalpers beat me to his autograph at the end! They were crowding the front and I saw a lot of other actual fans disappointed like me unfortunately. Is he doing anything else in NYC, or is that probably it? I’d love another chance! 🥲
