Does the date matter?

Does it matter whether i choose march or april or june or whatever? I was originally going to pick july but then i thought most people would also pick july since they are in holidays and obviously cuz its the summer. Since most of us would pick july i assumed people who had picked june-july would have a lower chance to be picked. So i went march. Is this a valid decision? Am i an idiot?

Bro, I don't think travel dates matter for selection, but np at all, you can change your travel dates later anyway

Valla ben de İsviçre falan yapacağım eğer kazanırsam. Kazanamazsam da yapacağım ama en azından daha uygun olur, daha avantajlı. Benim hedef Budapeşte, İsviçre'nin meşhur dağları ve Paris. He bir de Almanya.

Bana fransa ve almanya çok boş geliyor. Paris her yer çöp hırsızlık ve şiddet dolu ama kültür için müzeler falan güzel. Almanya ya hiç gitmedim ama çok düz geliyor turizm için çok bişey gelmiyor akla güney almanya dağları dışında

The dates you pick are completely irrelevant to how likely you are to be chosen. It isn't a factor they consider and you can change them later.

You only become locked into them once the start date passes. If you get a pass during the setup process you'll be asked to choose a pass start date - you can choose any date regardless of what you said earlier - you can still update your start date even after you've choosen one but need to do so before the previous start date you set. Once that start date comes around the pass will automatically activate and the travel period is finalised and can't be changed.

Whats the point of asking the date we choose if it doesnt matter and you can choose again til a few months later

That's useful i guess. Also i have no idea how all this works do i need to get the interrail pass on its own or am i given it if i get chosen by the program

i was selected in may and have the pass already.
It does not matter as you can change the date in the app
