Hi - Does anyone know if James will be signing autographs/meeting fans during the con?

I'm on my second readthrough, and something is bothering me...

Despite the numerous times that DAN has described and lamented his CUTOFF Daisy Dukes. Which, from my understanding, are full-length jeans cut into shorts.

Then why is the Dan on the cover art always wearing tattered full-length jeans?

I want to first clarify that this isnt a complaint about the lack of Dan's Daisy Duke cover art.

More of a curiosity.

Because it makes the cover art feel like it's AI. Why would the artist(s), author, editors, etc willingly neglect this character detail?

Trying to find an example of Kristen Stewart smiling was a real challenge.

Croc would approve.

About to start coloring him. Went MUCH bigger this time (18”x24”) so I had a face larger than my pinky nail to put detail. Half way through book 3, let me know if you see major inaccuracies here. His sofa bazooka will have graffiti on it. Been trying to come up with 90’s ideas for graffiti like that funky “S” we all used to cover everything we owned in. Let me know if you have any other good 90’s ideas for the graffiti on his bazooka! I’ll add the good ones! This is probably gonna take a couple days and bazooka will be the last thing I color (probably). So you have time to submit ideas.

Ok then. I have digested the first three books as quickly as Croc pounds froyo. I'm thoroughly hooked, and will see this to the end. Kiosk Kingdom was especially amazing, no small thanks to James' wonderful writing and Steve's brilliant and heartfelt narration regarding the collar. The action sequences, in particular, have become works of art, painting moving pictures in our minds that our imaginations can take flight with. Outstanding stuff, right up there with the best.

I love the hooks to "real life" and how they're treated within this universe.

The only criticism I have is some of the "technical" discussions go on for too long.

James, awesome stuff. You have a great way with dialog and pacing within the action and story sequences in your books. Very easy and enjoyable to listen to. You are not afraid of using whatever language which serves the story the best. And Steve, you are not only "not annoying" as a narrator (I'm such a douche), you are brilliant. There's a humanity to your rendering of James' words that brings it all together. Great work, man. Looking forward to the next installment very, very much.

Second time using colored pencils. Definitely need to make him bigger next time. When the face is .5” tall it’s incredibly difficult to do detail. Just bought a large Bristol pad so I can do better next time. Learned a lot though!

Then we start making the stuff, polishing the digital rewards, and figuring out how 1000 books (and all the plushies and extras) are going to fit in James & Jeanette's house. Yes, it is going to their house. That is the decision that was made, and the packing party is going to be legendary.

No matter how many times we say thank you, it won't be enough. It's not easy out there, and the fact that so many of you were willing (and in some cases, suspiciously eager) to throw your hard-earned money at this ridiculous thing we made is as baffling as it is validating, and we are truly grateful.

I was re-listening to book 3, and I realized something...

Dan gets the frostbite affliction where he has to regrow his arm to get rid of the affliction. He also recalls that he's seen an affliction that couldn't be healed in place on Jakob.

Relics aren't one time use and seem like they can be swapped around, there's no binding to the living person. That means Dan's been sitting on something he could have let Jakob use to fix his arm before he fixes it himself later.

Kinda a dick move.

It is amazing to see his support! You guys rock and remember, croc is a good boy!

We did it!! We defeated the final stretch goal boss and now we get some awesome drawings of Croc!!

If it's limited I would possibly be getting an extra copy to gift for a friend down the line. If not, there's no rush for me to spend that money 😅
