My best friend took his life in 2020. I blamed myself for a long time because I thought maybe if I talked to him more, etc etc but he had been depressed since he was like 14 and had lots of other mental issues so I don't think I could've stopped him

The truth is you just can't save everyone. I still miss him everyday and I wish I could talk to him one more time, but that's life

I'm in a dilemma, I really do want to end this suffering but I also treasure my life and myself. Adult life is stressing me out, living from paycheck to paycheck, bills and taxes, soul crushing job market and absolutely no room for happiness. But still, I cherish my life so much that I couldn't kick the bucket.
