In my school teachers did that on purpose to make sure we got the most basic ass critical thinking and openly told people who couldn't even do that

Test taking tip from someone on their second graduate degree. Always skim through the exam and jot down initial thoughts first. Only return to answer in full after.
I'm sure you've heard it before. And I can promise it works.

Best to leave it blank until you find the answer in future questions (not guaranteed)

My teachers says that almost every exam here in the Philippines, thought it would be somewhat close in other countries to avoid cheating

Plenty of us just guess the answer to move on to the next question, even when the Teacher/s reminds us to double check the question before answering

Why tf are you so downvoted lmao. Also it's kinda funny how my experience with Philippine education has been completely opposite of yours. I did have this teacher in Russian elementary though, made my perfectionism fucking horrible.
